FIXING ERRORS & CRASHES

Here are fixes to some common problems players encounter.

Choose the case most appropriate to your problem.

A. Cannot launch MyRO after clicking START in the patcher. Ragnarok window does not open...cannot even go to the LOG IN SCREEN.
 

Possible Cause 1:
MyRO and Ragnarok files must be together in the same directory to work. If you are using the LITE installer, be sure you have installed it to the same folder of your Ragnarok files. Reinstall if necessary. You may want to first find where your Ragnarok files are installed then direct the installation of our installer to that same path. You may watch the video on how to do it HERE.

 

 

Possible Cause 2:

Maybe your Ragnarok is old or your are using pRO version Ragnarok. You need kRO version Ragnarok to install the LITE installer to. If your Ragnarok is not kRO version then just get a Data.grf file that is kRO version. We have one here: Data.grf (kRO). Paste the file inside the folder on where your Ragnarok files are to update your grf to kRO version. Overwrite.

 

 

Possible Cause 3:

Ragnarok needs sound to function by default. If you do not have a sound card then Ragnarok will error upon start up since it needs sound by default. What you can do is turn off the SOUND of Ragnarok/MyRO. Go to where your Ragnarok/MyRO files are then click the Setup.exe file found inside that folder. Click the drop down menu and choose "NO Sound" then click "OK".

 

 

Possible Cause 4:
Vista/Win7/Win8/Win8.1/Win10 has a new feature called User Account Control which makes launching programs or games somewhat different than before.

 

1.  You must be using the "Administrator" account of your PC to do this. Find the file "16888.exe" inside your Ragnarok Folder on where you have installed MyRO to. Right click and choose "Properties" then click the "Compatibility" tab.
2.  Check the "Run this program as Administrator" checkbox as well as the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"  then choose 
"Windows XP SP3" in the drop-down box.
3.  Repeat the same with the files "MyRO Patcher" and "Setup". For Windows 8/10 users click here for the guide on how to do the compatibility settings. http://myroforums.co...win10-try-this/

4. Or you can disable UAC entirely. Read the guide on how to access and disable UAC: www.uac.myroserver.com

 

Possible Cause 5:

If you still crash, you might have no DRIVER for your Video Card.

Run Setup.exe from within your MyRO files, if the "Resolution" box is blank then it means your Video Card does not have the correct driver software for it.  Install a driver by searching for your correct Video Card Driver from the internet. Just google your video card brand/version. Ex: Videocardx123 Driver Download.

B. Getting GRAVITY ERRORS while playing and game shuts down.

Maybe your Ragnarok is old or your are using pRO version Ragnarok. You need kRO version Ragnarok to install the LITE installer to. C. When using FULL INSTALLER and OS Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10, game does not launch.

F. "Failed to Connect to Server" error in patcher when using Windows Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10

Just relocate your Ragnarok/MyRO installation to some other place other than C:\Program Files. Maybe put in Desktop or in C:\.

G. Experiencing GRAVITY ERRORS in some NEW MAPS or NEW ITEMS and cannot log back in.

2. Temporary Solution:

Or a temporary solution is you may also reset your character's position to bring it back to your savepoint:

NOTE: You may do this below but only as a temporary solution, it is best to do the method above aout making your grf to kRO version to finally fix everything and eliminate your error. 

To change your character's postion:
Go to our website www.myro.tk or www.myro.ph  and log in with your username and password.
Click your ACCOUNT NAME at the Top Right Corner of the page.
Click the character name you would want to reset.
Click on "Reset Position" or "Reset Look" at the top of the window.
(Remember this is only a temporary solution. It is always best to keep your Ragnarok error-free by following #1 above.)

H. Getting EXE File Corrupted Error?

 

It means that your EXE was corrupted because your PC has a virus thus also infected our game EXE and perhaps also other EXE's in your PC were infected as well.

 

TO CHECK:
You can check your EXE if it was infected by a virus, just send the file 16888.exe here: https://www.virustotal.com/
If the file was really corrupted by a virus, this means that your PC indeed has a virus and also infected our EXE and perhaps most of the EXE you have in your PC was infected as well. You need to start scanning your PC for virus by installing an "anti-virus" and clean it. If virus infection is already worse, then a reformat is necessary.

 
TO FIX MYRO:
Reinstall your MyRO Installer. Just overwrite. Since this is a fresh installation then it should be virus-free. Be sure you had first scanned your PC and cleaned it from any virus otherwise our EXE will be infected again and the error will keep coming back until you clean your PC of any virus.
