Spin to win; o Bryan o rolls over No.1 PK Tourney!
by Kaito Kuroba | MyRO Writers Pool Division
Sharp and steady was the name of the game for this month’s No.1 PK Champion. His keen senses, unbelievably quick reflexes and just pure technical prowess were the main ingredients in o Bryan o’s successful run. November 21st marked the sly Guillotine Cross’ long-awaited shot at the limelight as he demolished the competition. What makes o Bryan o different is the fact that he always joins tournaments with very little expectations of himself. “Wala akong ine-expect, nilaro ko lang yung slot ko katulad ng ibang beses na pumasok ako sa PK Rankings,” the living killing machine declared. This played an important role in his triumph as his I-don’t-care-about-outcomes character lessened the pressure which then allowed him to focus on the fights. “Hindi ako nap-pressure pag may natalong match.”
Being a man of very few words, the nonchalant assassin doesn’t have much to say about his victory. For him, the real prize in joining events is the learning entailed with the warmth of winning and the chill of defeat. “Sali lang, kahit para sa experience,” he sighed casually.

Seeded against K 1 N G, a resilient Royal Guard, o Bryan o couldn’t help but worry as Royal Guards are considered to be a soft counter to the Guillotine Cross class due to the many defensive spells including a reflect-mechanic. “Since Royal Guard, nahirapan ako kasi may reflect and defender,” o Byran o recalled his Elimination round bout against the hardy competitor. “Namatay pa nga ako sa reflect nung 1st round.” In spite of his worries, however, he was able to quickly sweep the Gryphon-rider out of the tournament as he did with his semi final adversary in t U y A—a Sura player—who didn’t last long in the bladed hands of the Hugelian fighter.
An accurate representation of o Bryan o’s spin-to-win strategy!
With two heads in his name, o Bryan o still couldn’t help but feel slightly nervous. His experience in the Morroc PVP map has gotten him accustomed in fighting in a huge area, something that the No.1 PK arena clearly isn’t. “Pag No.1 PK, nahirapan talaga ko since maliit yung map,” o Bryan o reasoned out his apprehension before the final match. “Kaya tuwing pk, laging may kaba.” Luckily for him, none of his nerves seem to have manifested as his performance was clear and clean as crystal even in his finals match against Persephassa, a Rune Knight whose brute force has left her other opponents shattered.
The minimal presence of mages has been evident in recent No.1 PK events so it came as quite the shock when a Sorcerer was able to push his way through the faceoff match. The Hugelian assassin himself has something to say about the mage classes. “Since may mga delay/cooldown [yung] skills nila, tingin ko medyo may disadvantage sila pag dating sa 1 on 1.” Finding openings between spell rotations was o Bryan o’s initial strategy in facing AG Brix, an avid spell caster from the humble village of Payon. AG Brix had an up-and-down journey in his way up the big finale; but while the arcane specialist from the Archer Village hit a few road bumps along the way, he remained a threat to o Bryan o who was more than ready to face off against the magus.
Set to go against the Sorcerer in a race-to-three face off, the steel tempest had his blades sharpened and venom-soaked, all prepped up to bring AG Brix to his demise. During the first round, the Hugelian tornado quickly took initiative and jumped onto the Sorcerer. Despite AG Brix’s efforts in spamming his skills, o Bryan o spun his way to an easy faceoff first blood. “Focused pa rin ako kahit nanalo nung 1st round,” the doughty assassin won’t let complacency be his undoing. With just enough time to wipe the crimson off of his daggers and katars, the second round eventually kicked in. Without even a minute on the clock, the magus found himself side-by-side with a living meat grinder and was—yet again—sliced up by o Bryan o’s Rolling Cutter.
AG Brix trying his best to stop o Bryan o's rampage to no avail!
The Guillotine Cross and his confidence were both at a mile high as he was seated in a very comfortable 2-0 cushion. With his Hugelian friends backing him up for what was to be the final round, the gritty player had every ounce of determination rushing through his veins. With a cliché history-repeats-itself deal in the third round, o Bryan o ended the face off with a clean and very decisive 3-0 sweep against AG Brix. With a smile on his face and a fidgety heart, o Bryan o was declared No.1 PK Champion for the month of November!
Despite having a sleet front, it’s obvious that o Bryan o wasn’t just fighting for his sake. Representing the entire Quaint Garden Village, the sharp competitor has an entire battalion of supporters who have shared both his wins and losses in his multiple attempts at the No.1 PK tourney. Ecstatic with his victory, the gritty assassin has a message of thanks to his friends who have aided him in his quest.
Under his cold façade and stone-hard demeanour lie the heart of a lion and the fighting spirit of a true warrior. With all of his strength and skill, o Bryan o has earned a frame in the glory-filled walls of the MyRO hall of fame. For coming out victorious in this month’s intense player kill tournament, o Bryan o was bestowed a staggering 30 PODs coupled with 5 Megaphones to aid with his endless search for more boxes of Cranial Shield of Deaf. To top everything off, o Bryan o is entitled to wear the No.1 PK Golden Crown for a month to signify the hard work and expertise that he showed in his battle for the title of No.1 PK for November in 2015! Congratulations!
