Issue No.1 — August 13, 2016
9 Years of MyRO
The first of the ‘ber’ months marks MyRO’s anniversary. Having been open for a total of nine eventful, colorful years, the server celebrated the milestone with the help of the Game Masters. As tradition dictates, a bounty of prizes was given out through an array of events—all of which cater to different types of players.
The Turbo Race event zipped things off with a hustle. Players competed in several rounds for the chance to receive the 9th MyRO Birthday's Pink Poring Hairpin and a POD. Princess Seika, Jose Pasillas, and Argentus ended up winning the fun three-type race competition.

There were two major war events in celebration of the anniversary; the Team Rumble and the 9v9 War with a Twist, both hosted by Dango. The former had a total of seven (7) teams of three, each having to defend against waves of opponents, with the longest lasting team each winning 2 PODs and a 9th MyRO Birthday's Dokebi Hat. A sturdy Team Heyyo withstood a total of 18 warriors, clasping the victory with an astounding record. As for the 9v9 war event, a massive sponsorship of 36 PODs was kindly given by Heilhem Grid, making the event even more competitive. In the climax of it all, Team 4—also known as C2 Merlat—got the well-deserved 'W' and reaped a staggering 7 PODs each and a coveted headgear in 9th MyRO Birthday's Monkey Fur Hat.
The fun wasn’t limited in-game, as MyRO’s Facebook Page was also studded with a few events, including the focal point of the celebration—the Fansign Event.
The winners of the 9th Anniversary Fansign Event
Players were asked to create a fansign, honoring MyRO and its 9 years of service. With a prize pool of more than 30 PODs, the event quickly gathered a lot of entries. The two winners, each receiving a staggering 15 PODs and a Megaphone, were determined independently; the fansign with the most likes, and Admin's personal favorite. Chef f y took the first spot with a total of 100 likes on his post. Admin's choice was ii LJ ii's entry, boasting a well-decorated fansign on pink cardstock.
With the closing of the climactic series of events, let us yet again congratulate MyRO for its 9th year of bringing fun into our lives! Happy 9th anniversary, MyRO!
Player on Focus 2016: August-September Update
The biggest and most awaited MyRO event of the year is back on its 3rd season. Hosted by our lovely GM Dango, this year’s Player on Focus consists of the 13 lucky players competing for the title of Mr. or Ms. MyROnian. Not only that, the winner will also be awarded with a very rare Freya’s Crown as well as 100pcs of PODs!

The contestants of this year’s POF.
Application was opened last August 5, 2016 that brought out the following contenders—Hugel’s Boj Kevin Apalisok and Martin Aguas, Left Pronterians Jared Cansino and Ace Coyoca. We also have Lower Alberta’s sweet Sarah Napal with her two knights Angelo Crisostomo and Jayson Eugenio. There is also Mid-Payon’s very own Rainier Madriaga, Upper Prontera’s one and only Erwin Navarrete, UPAB’s hunks Akihiro Revelliza and Earl Dela Torre, MOA’s cutie Patricia Anne de Vera, and last but not the least, Amatsu’s beauty Johanna Araga.
The event kick-started with the 1st real life task asking our contestants to showcase how confidently beautiful they are by taking a photo of themselves upon waking up. They are also asked to create a novice with their names on it as their in-game task. Angelo Crisostomo and Boj Kevin Apalisok topped this round with 10 points.
(Check out their entries here.)
Second real life task required our contestants to take a picture of their daily grind and a movie title that describes it. Leveling up their novice character is their next in-game task. Angelo Crisostomo finally got 1st place, but this time tied with Patricia De Vera at 16 pts.
(Second Task: Daily Grind details can be found here.)
The third task is a critical point for our contestants as this marks the 1st elimination for the bottom two. While the in-game task is easy—to transcend their character— the real life task is a bit challenging as they are asked to create their own DIY Filipino costume and a poem about MyRO. Hugel’s Boj Kevin Apalisok made a comeback scoring 26 points followed by the consistent Angelo Crisostomo with 24. Sadly, Earl Dela Torre and Ace Coyoca, our bottom 2, need to say good bye.
(For more info, click here)
Three tasks done and eleven contestants left. Who will be eliminated next? Will Boj Kevin Apalisok still retain his 1st place or will he be overtaken by one of the ten contestants? More updates to come in the next issue.
Fierce and determined players aren’t an unusual sight in the competitive setting that MyRO provides. A lot of good players come and go, but only a handful—the pinnacle of them all—leave an inerasable mark in the history books of our beloved server. When the pressure boils down to a fiery, cutthroat arena, only the mightiest and the greatest are left to reap the rewards and the glory for their unfathomable efforts. In Heroic Honors, we give the appreciation and renown that these warriors deserve.
It’s only fitting to recognize the players who made the server eventful
Getting things started for the second half of August is none other than All is Well, a shrewd Shadow Chaser from the floating city of Yuno. The cunning player waded through ravaging waves of one-on-one fights to get his hands on the No.1 PK title. All is Well has been the guy to beat since his PK run in June where he dominated the entire competition, and he hasn’t dropped the title since. With his most recent win being his third and—at least for now—his final one, the Shadow Chaser clinched a Glandslam win, earning double the prizes for his sheer skill and persistence.

With the conclusion of the No.1 PK Tournament also came the announcement of the Top QTB Breaker. Orihara Izaya from Izlude claimed the title for himself, winning the privilege to don the QTB Breaker Balloon to decorate his head. The agile breaker of the Exploding Jolly Kittens guild will enjoy the prestigious headgear for a month as he tries to defend his well-earned title.
August 26th marked the final act for the Transcendent MWM event. Known rivals in Insurgent from Hugel and Myro Is Life from Yuno went head-to-head in the 8v8 format, which the gritty bunch from the Quaint Garden won in a bloodbath of a match. The close battle lasted for a total of eight grueling rounds. While the team from Yuno managed to keep up in points for the first few sets, Insurgent inched further and further until there was no more coming back for their opposition. With their win, Ambet o Archer, Nessun Ritardo, Liebesfreud, x Bo Ra, Hiro Hayama, For Dolf Only, Victor Novikov, and Stephanie Young Hwang look forward to their future as an even more well-coordinated unified force.

The Trans MWM final was followed by its 3rd job counterpart, just a day after. Like a colossal mountain, the Dere Dere guild of Upper Mall of Asia was insurmountable, and was deemed as the MWM champions of August. With star players RozenFate, MyNameIsOfNoImportance, Justin Stripper, Nicolette Rochette, o Instrinc o, KingKaelthaz, and Guardians of the Galaxy in a team; there aren’t any questions as to how the troop from Upper MoA settled with the victory.
Do you have what it takes to follow in their footsteps?
Thank you for reading and huge congratulations to the players who made the second half of August so eventful and exciting. As for the aspiring people that look to get themselves framed in the hallways of MyRO prestige, we wish you the best of luck in your personal endeavors.

PVP, WOE, boss hunt, and quests—these are some of the main attractions in MyRO. Whether you’re an old or a new player, surely, you’ve made some friends and maybe a few enemies, but more importantly, you’ve gained experiences and hugot, I mean life’s lessons along the way. Frustrating moments of not being able to finish ET, blooper event moments, love stories turned horror stories, these are little pieces of treasure that no money can buy. Oh, did I mention that it is exclusive in our server? Yo-ho-ho! Come and let’s open thee treasure chest.
