MyRO Re-Balanced Skills

 

 

Below is the list of skills that have been modified after Renewal for a more balanced and fast paced Ragnarok Online experience.  Note that MyRO uses iRO Wiki Cast Times instead of RMS. To learn more about Cast Times in MyRO, click here.  /no1

-- I now reverted the Dangerous Soul Collect cast times same as before as suggested by the population. Variable Cast is now like the previous 2secs and there is NO FIXED CAST TIME.

To achieve no cast in renewal, the formula is (dex*2)+(int) = 530.
This means a 180 dex and 170 int will make your DSC insta-cast. (180*2)+(170) = 530
I think this is still balanced.

Since we reduced the skills which has "percentage based fixed cast time" from official 20% Fixed Cast Time (FCT)  to just 10% FCT for a fast-paced gameplay in MyRO (basically cut in half), I think it is just proper to also reduce the FCT of these skills in half as well to be proportioned with the other skills which are percentage based, as suggested. From 1 second official down to 0.5 sec.

-- We turn our attention to the previously unnoticed Minstrel Jobs. We previously changed the Arrow Vulcan cast times/FCT to follow official mechanics but this took a great toll on the Battle Minstrel performance. So we now decided to remove the Fixed Cast Time (FCT) of AV to give them better killing chances. Though there is still a 2.8s delay like in official which can be easily fixed by using ER set (or any delay reducing items) as well as delay reducing skills like the Bragi.
Now I think this will improve the Minstrels' killing ability. This is also part of our balancing project that every job should be balanced towards the other for a more enjoyable gaming experience.

-- In our aim to improve the Minstrel Class damages, we have increased the Arrow Vulcan skill damages to +150%! Whooaa! This will give the Minstrel Class more versatility and not only limited to a support class.
Delay was also cut from the official 2.8s to only 0.8s.
Still no Fixed Cast Time and still no Cooldown like in official. (www.cast.myroserver.com)

More improvements for this Class soon as we finalize the discussions.

Cast: official 3s now 1.2s
Delay: official 1s now 0.7s
Cooldown: official 4s now 0s
If you reach a stat of (dex*2) + (int) = 530, then you will have no variable cast and only the 0.12s fixed cast will remain which is also reduceable by Lapine, Radius and Sacrament.

This will give caster a max of around 75% chance which I think is perfect. Remember that we have Gloria and Improve Concentration in our buffer and Mjol is easily attainable so this formula will suit us.

-- We had removed the Cicada update we did last maintenance (Nov6) regarding the fix on the Final Strike to miss on Cicada because it posed a corruption on the other skills. It made the magic type skills as well as the acid demo and the likes to also miss on Cicada which should not be the case. We temporarily removed it only until we get a fix for it after re-coding. Cicada skill now works like before. We shall re-implement the Final Strike to miss on Cicada very soon after some fixes.

Thanks ken for this compilation! Hehe but i have 1 concern. I think for dragon breath, we are still using the old calculations:
Damage = [(CurrHP ÷ 50) + (MaxSP ÷ 4)] × (SkillLv × BaseLv ÷ 150) × (95 + DragonTraining_Lv × 5)%

Correct me if im wrong.

Yes DB uses the old formula which doesn't include range, racial and element modifier. Just included iRO formula for comparison.
